History of FGV
The Getúlio Vargas Foundation emerged on December 20, 1944. Its initial objective was to train qualified personnel for public and private administration in the country. At that time, Brazil was already starting to lay the foundations for the growth that would be confirmed in the following decades.
The institution crossed the borders of teaching and advanced in the areas of research and information principles, being today followed by several other Universities abroad.
A pioneering and daring brand, Fundação Getulio Vargas inaugurated, in Brazil, undergraduate and graduate courses in public and private administration, in addition to postgraduate courses in economics, psychology, accounting and education.
